I knew she wasn't a sable, just wondering what color of red she would be. I just wasn't real sure how much their color changes as they grow because Dudley changed so much.

Ok, wasn't sure if that was what you or other members were thinking.

She might get a bit darker, but I'll bet not much. Ask her breeder, he/she should have a good idea if they've been rasing corgis long. They should know how their lines develop.

Well, the breeder said pretty much what you suggested Peggy. That she may darken up a bit but will probably end up being the color of her head. She had told me before that the brown would fade away as she gets older.

Personally, it's not a huge deal, I was just more curious than anything...predicting the future and all

Well, after a five and a half hour drive, we made it home with little Maya! Let's just say she is completely different from Dudley. Dudley is a little over excited to see her and constantly wants to play and tries to pummel her. I'm hoping that once the novelty of a new puppy wears off he will calm down a bit with her. She's just so small and he's huge!

Does anyone know how long the butt licking/sniffing goes on because it seems to be a talent of Dudley's?
I'll post more about the terrible twosome later

Hi Jenni! welcome home with maya! Not sure about the butt sniffing thing, but i got it going on here ( Remember Gus was neutered a week ago so he still has a little boo boo there and Dillon is quite interested in it). Can't wait to see photos! It is a big adjustment going on here, but we havea quiet moment and and the boys are napping next to each other...I am sure you have a big adjustment going on there too! Hugs to you and the pups!

Jenni - Congratulations on your new addition. A day or two and the butt smelling should stop. At least it did for the Chipmunks. Keep us posted on how they are doing.

Thanks for the welcome guys. Maya is settling in nicely and is quite the spit-fire. She already doesn't let Dudley get away with too much. She has definitely taken to Tim, which is just fine since Dudley was always a momma's boy

Right now she is zonked out from her very exciting day, and I'm pretty tired myself

I've posted some pictures in the gallery of Maya and Dudley and their adventures. Dudley is no longer invited to attend any sleep overs at hotels. He kept us up alllllll night growling and boofing at every single possible sound. Hopefully he enjoyed his one hotel trip

Haha... I can just imagine Dudley "warning" you about every little sound in the hotel. Congrats on bringing home Maya! Gotta go check out the pictures now... best wishes for a night of rest!

Dillon doesn't bark at a hotel but he really wont allow us to leave him in the room by himself for even a minute. Maya is adorable, and the shot of her and Dudley in the crate is really sweet, she is a cutie and Dudley is so handsome!
