What bedding does your corgi use in their crate?

Jackie used to have a slumber ball too. But that, like so many beds before and after it, is no more. Right now (for outside the crate) she has a regular rectangular bed from Drs. F&S with washable cover.

Just put a bid on a nice chocolate colored dog bed at a TV auction. I won't know if I got it until Saturday. Wish us luck? Duchess won't know what to do with it.

you forgot to ask about Jackie's "Hello Kitty" comb and brush set!

Snuggle balls: Have your tried to wash them?

I shook, raked, tape rolled the beds to remove hair. Then took them to the laundry mat to wash in their king size washer. When the load was done, I grabbed them out, and walked them over to the dryer (dry with a tennis shoe tossed in to fluff it up).

Anyway, the second I walked away a woman immediately tossed in a comforter. Well apparently, the washer was full of dog hair. I didn't notice it when I pulled the snug balls out, I intended to go back and look the machine over..

This woman went berserk! Screaming at me for destroying her comforter. I felt bad, I truly didn't notice tons of dog hair left in the washer when I pulled them out. And she jumped right in once I turned my back.

Felt lucky to leave the laundromat with my life that day!

I wash the slumber ball covers in my washer, and YES i do have to clean out the washing machine after i wash them and I also have to pull out a ton of fuzz from the dryer too! but i wash them once a month to keep the hair from building up too much...

Well that lady shouldnt have been so fast to shove her stuff in the washer you were using... so she got some dog hair with her comforter - I bet she will think twice before doing THAT again LOL!

for sleeping, now that Buddy is 14 months old, he uses a dog bed/palate by Kirland purchased at Costco. It is about 3' in diameter with a zippered cover. We use a large towel for a blanket (this is what gets chewed instead of the bed) and for 4 months and counting the bed has survived. Buddy sleeps on this outside the crate in our mud/utility room that can be closed off with a petgate. This is his "puppy place". We now leave the door off his crate and he goes in for treats (to hide from whoever may be after his treasure) and to rest at times. During the day we keep the big bed up in the cabinet so its not available for chewing. In his open crate he has a lambswool pad from PetSmart.

Oh Emilie and Susan . . . DO NOT get me started on people in laundromats! I am so happy now to have my own washer and dryer, but I still have to go those crazy places to wash big stuff (comforters, etc.). What a zoo!!!

And don't worry Deb . . . when you least expect it . . .

We use this square padded mat that has thick raised up edges. Einy fits right in it like a pancake. The padded edges allow him to keep his chin elevated when resting his head and he likes that.

Got it at Petsmart I believe.

My dogs get PrimoPads (Vinyl dog floor protection pads- Primo Pads) which are surprisingly soft and cushy - they prevent elbow calluses 100%, and are guaranteed.

They also get blankets and pillows... what can I say, I spoil them!

My 13 yr old Reba sleeps in a wicker basket with a pad that fits the basket, both bought at the pet store. My 1 yr old still chews everything in sight. I bought him one of those imitation fleece pads with the thick foam around all 4 sides (like baby bumper pads) and he does that kicking dance like when they go potty on the grass and go through their kicking thing and he has torn holes in the pad by scratching the same spot again and again and again. I'll be danged if I'll buy him another one. Prior to the fleece pad I had old towels in the crate and he would push them off to the side and lay on the plastic bottom of the crate and that just didn't seem very comfortable, so thus the pad. When it's cold I throw a fleece throw over the old one and cover the little one's crate with a big beach towel on all sides.

I got our girls a piece of foam from Mill End it is about 36 in x 30 and then made a sheet to cover it and they each have a blanket ... Kirby who is 11 loves it... Emmye would rather sleep next to a wall on the floor, and most of all next to the door. I think she like the coolness of it... She has the last few night taken to sleeping under the bench in the kitchen on top of all the shoes..
