I HAVE to ask...
This was brought up in another forum I paruse, and I have to know...
WHY do doggie feet smell like FRITOS?! Anyone else noticed that? All of my dogs feet have smelled the same, and it wasn't until a few months ago that someone mentioned it smelled like Fritos that it clicked. THAT'S the smell!Am I weird? Or has anyone else noticed this? |

Why do dogs' feet smell like Fritos? - Some speculate because of corn in the diet. I'm serious. Sweat? Stuff they walk in and through? It's great fun to debate and speculate about though. Debbie Last edited by glencorgi; 02-22-2007 at 07:12 PM. |

That;s exactly how I describe Tuck's feet! They smell like fritos!
Lulu, so far, doesn't seem to have smelly feet! Her head on the other hand.....

LOL This is great. I never paid attention to Montana's feet but I know her ears and head have an odor. Her ears are always clean never any dirt or anything in them but its not like i pour soap down her ears and rinse them out. So I dont really know how to get rid of the smell.

Rosie has one smelly (slightly) ear and one not. I wouldn't have a clue what Fritos smell like, but her feet often smell like sheep or cow poop. But a good licking soon cleans them up. All comes of living in the country. Lol.

Dillon's got the stinky feet, and no corn in his diet, so I think he is just sweaty! I can give him a bath and within 8 hours he has the stinky pew toes! Gus, well, I have had a cold since the day we got him, so I am not sure how stinky his feet are, my sense of smell is at about 50% right now...

![]() And I LOVE that doggie frito smell! Wondering what this ear thing is about though? My other dogs ears haven't smelled before, so is it just a Corgi thing? |

My wife loves to smell Byron's feet - does it every night. But she has never described the smell.
I try to explain to her that just about every time he does "number 1" he steps in it. There is a line from a Sandra Bullock movie where there is a line in it that she say's she "Loves the smell of dog feet". Not sure what movie that is from though. |

Jackie has frito feet . . . and no corn in her diet either.
Perhaps we are easily amused (perhaps??), but we get a kick out of it in our house!

Last night I smelled Lulu's head. Then I tried to smell her ears. The smell just comes from the top of her head! Not the ears, not her mouth....
How very odd? I admit, I love the snow because both dogs have such clean feet. Well, it doesn't hurt that I mopped the floors the other day too....... Lulu's pads are as pink as can be!
