Talking What's Your Corgi's Favorite Food? - 02-26-2007, 08:38 AM

I have two Corgi's and I understand all the weight issues that corgi's suffer from, but I don't think they should be deprived from a good treat ever now and again.

So ... I found that Molsen & Miller love Cheese ... All Cheese over anything else you could offer them. When we are at the bark park, I take some of the string cheese and when they get out of my line of sight or are doing something inappropriate ... I can say "cheese" and I will have two cute corgis sitting at my feet again. And sometimes my friends lab.

Now on everything else Molsen is very picky and only eats Carrots, Cheese, Peanut Butter and most meats. It is funny, because he is the heavier of the two. And Miller will eat anything ...

Like Fido, Trevor loves EVERYTHING!!

Seriously, he loves his regular food (Nutro Ultra) which he's doing quite well on. For snacks he likes baby carrots and peanut butter (I put a little bit inside of his sterilized bone for a treat sometimes.) Last time I went to Petco, I picked up a couple of those desserts by Nutro. Last night, he got one (berry cobbler) for the very first time. At first, he didn't seem to know what to make of it, but five minutes later his food bowl was clean again (no surprise there!)

Hi,
Zachary's has a lot of favorites, but I think what tops them all is a marrow bone (small ones). When he went to puppy school, his trainor recommended these and not to give him more than two per week. It is so much fun to watch him eat one because "ecstasy" is written all over his face as he slowly savors each lick with his eyes half closed.

The only problem I have, is finding these on a regular basis at the grocery store.

Yeah, listing everything Rupert and Jemma love would crash this site! I honestly don't know why Rupe thinks he loves food - he doesn't chew it and it just gets snapped up and swallowed!!!

The only thing I have found, so far, that Rupe won't eat is lettuce with vinnegar on it - so he drops it and Jem eats it!!!!

Deb;

That is so funny. The best part is I can see that happening. It sounds like Chip and Dale.

I have not yet found something that Dillon will refuse. Let's just say that when trying to "hide" his vitamin C pill in some food, Dillon kept making a fuss so i sarcastically offered it to him and GULP, it was gone! so apparently anything i am handing to him must be yummy food! Gus, i have discovered will not eat banana! but other than that, anything we have offered is yummy and he will eat. They both really love apples and Popcorn!

Clogs goes for cheese the most, followed closely by anything we are eating, up to and including lettuce. With dressing, but not without, so there is some discrimination there. Raw carrot is good, as are banana, apple and many other fruits.
So, yeah, a wee omnivore....

Cody is not picky at all, and loves just about everything that is edible, but popcorn would have to be his number one favorite.

Zia is like most of the others...she'll eat anything that doesn't eat her first. We just got back from a walk and she tried to pick up everything on the walk...chapstick, kleenex, superglue. She really loves sunflower seeds, but she only gets a few 2-3 times a week.

HA! That's my two, for sure! Their favorite snack is peanut butter - if I say "peanut butter" or "pb", I get seriously starved looks!

I noticed that many dogs love cheese - I don't really keep cheese around so Rhys and Andy have not had much of it (though they do like it). When I was a kid, our basset hound loved cheese - Americ
