Happy St David's Day - 03-01-2007, 12:38 AM

Please celebrate St David's Day today- the patron saint of Wales- people in Wales today will wear a daffodil and children will dress up in traditional Welsh costume
http://myweb.tiscali.co.uk/grumps/pics/3welsh.jpg

I don't suggest dressing up your corgis but you could wear a daffodil in their honour.

Have a great Welsh day to all our Pems and Cardis from my two Welsh born corgis

Laura _ I have a brother named David but I have not heard of a Corgi named David or Dave. My wife has an uncle named David - and he has close connections to a common Welsh name - Evans (I could even give you the village in Wales where these Evanses hailed from). I suppose the female version of David is Davina. That's a fair name for a female Corgi isn't it. Happy St David's Day.

Laura,

I have a copy of your wishing a Happy St David's Day in Welsh to the old AOL Pembroke board somewhere around. I would love for you to post the same here.

Debbie in North Carolina where we do have daffodils for this special day

Neat tradition! And thanks for posting the greeting in the native language.
I wish you all a Happy St. David's Day, then, although I'm not sure I've ever seen a daffodil around these parts...
