Ok, beat this. Taylor herds parks. Yeah, I have just come to realise it. He always goes around the perimeter of a park first before tackling the inside bits. Now these parks can be as large as 20 football fields or as small as a children's playground with a bit of grassed area and a few trees.

Go Tails. Go herd that there park.

Deer kill twice as many humans then sharks do a year. I heard the statistic on Animal Planet.

Sharks are unfairly treated. I don't put people who kill sharks just for the hell of it or through some notion that they are doing mankind a favour, up on a pedestal. They are a few steps down from whale killers and fishermen who use outrageous nets that snare and kill dolphins and albatrosses.

Gromit herds my children which is hilarious, but I'm amazed at how protective he is of them. He tries to pull my 4 yr old daughter out of the swing and blocks her from going up the slide. He barks his head off when she does either one, or if she leaves the yard. If I lift her up in the air he tugs on her clothing to pull her back down. Sometimes when my daughter is climbing on something and she won't heed his barking or tugging, he stops and looks at me as if to say, "Aren't you going to do something about this? What kind of mom are you?".

He even bit our treadmill once when my 13 year old daughter was on it. He never does that when I'm on it!

I just keep saying it must be unnatural for his "sheep" to leave the ground, so he intervenes.

Does anyone else see these characteristics in their corgi? Is it sheep herding insticts or protectiveness?

Suki also "herds" my grandchildren as well as dashing out the door to get behind people and nudges their heels to move them in the house. She does not like my son picking up my granddaughter. When I was visiting my sister (in the country) the man across the road could not get his cattle back into the pen...she took Suki and let her go and she got them back into the pen with no training...plus I don't know as she had ever seen a cow before.

Gromit has never seen livestock in his life, my mom wants to buy a sheep so he will have something constructive to do with his herding abilities.

That's amazing about the cows! Did she bite at their ankles or anything?
