Welcome! My eight year old Duchess does what sounds like a reverse snort. It really bothers her and makes her anxious when it happens. I just try to keep her calm and it only lasts about a minute.
Please tell us how you happened to get a one year old corgi? I got my girl when she was seven. Had her about a year and a half and love her very much.

Maybe he has a breathing condition. You might want to check with the vet. It doesn't seem normal for a Corgi to be snorting like a pic. Is he overweight?

Jane is right it is reverse sneeze.
It can sound really scary and can last a minute or two.

I also wanted to add, I can run through the house and get Darci to chase me and she will return to normal pretty quick. It gets her to bark or take a deep breath and it will pull her out of the attack.

She seems to be more prone to it when the seasons change, giving a little benadryl when everything is blooming seems to help a little as well.

Egan has never had this happen.

Welcome! My Zia (a 6 month old r/w pem) also snorts. I've never had a dog that makes as many different noises as she does. She sighs, moans, aroos, snorts, etc.
