Oh man... I am so glad to hear you and Shippo are doing better! Scary stuff when loved ones are ill.
Keep us posted on progress please. And I 2nd.. or 3rd others that have said they would donate $. Don't have a lot, but could spare some for treatment for sure. I have always been blessed to get some when I needed it, from unexpected places, so just keep us posted and let us know.

That is excellent news, indeed!! I'm putting in a request that there will be no more sick Corgis on this forum for the next year. Can I get an amen out there?

So glad to hear Shippo is feeling better.
But If things change and you need some help, I too can chip in.
More healing vibes to the beautiful Shippo....

I am so grateful that so many people are willing to help out if Shippo does need to be vetted. Nobody may have much, but I bet if everyone gave a tiny bit it would add up to a lot. Thanks you guys. It's good to know that people are willing to help Shippo when I am in my darkest financial hour... >^^;<

Yes, but they are good! We went to them when we lived in Denver years ago. Long before they were on TV and they were excellent even then.
It could be he had a gastric upset and the diarrhea has actually made him feel better. A "stomach ache" will make a dog lethargic, not want to move. Could he have eaten something on one of your walks?

Tennessee is called the Volunteer State and it isn't for nothing. How is he doing this morning?

I think it may have been a coincidence that the poops and sore back happened at the same time, makingthings seem even worse. This is the season of nasty poops - as things thaw out and all the nice smells come to the surface the dogs get into all kinds of junk. I am having a heck of a time with Jemma as she keeps eating peanuts that the squirrels missed last fall and all kings of nasty things. I actually bought some the probiotic yoghurt to add to their diets today. That helps keep the good bacteria count up in the gut to fight the bad - you may want to try that too.
Hey Dillydoodle and Fluffer-P - how much of the yoghurt do you add to each meal?? I need to know and perhaps others would like to know too!
Very relieved to hear that Shippo is doing better - let's hope he's on the road to recovery now!

No, Shippo was on a leash the whole time so he never had a chance to eat anything during the walk (plus he has a strong "leave it").
He is fine this morning. He pooped last night before bed and it was solid. I never thought I could be so happy to see dog crap lmfao...
This morning, he is energetic and prancing around like normal, being his old obnoxious self. I gave him something bland so hopefully he'll keep it down. I pretty much had to fast him yesterday, because he wouldn't keep even the blandest of things down (towards the end of the night though, I gave him some pumpkin, and he kept that down).
I do know that Alameda is good, but I'm getting to where I can only go there for emergencies because of the price. Even vaccinations and neutering are pricey there (They wanted $360 to neuter Shippo!!!) But they are my regular vet otherwise, because they are so close. I want to find a different vet for routine things like vaccinations etc., maybe a holistic vet that performs titers.

Just to mention Cheetah, that some regular vets perform titer testing(just need to ask) - my vet does and he is not what I would consider a Holistic vet; however, he is open to other treatments such as accupuncture which he used for his own dog.

I asked at Alameda. With all their high tech stuff going on, I was shocked that they do not do titers (They do it for something that has nothing to do with regular vaccinations, but they don't do it for aything routine). I figure if I have to search out another vet, I may as well look for a holistic one that doesn't frown on me for giving my dogs Canidae instead of Science Diet, and raw bones instead of nasty, chemical-doused processed pet store bones (My other dog broke her tooth on a pet store bone and it cost me over $500 on surgery). It seems the majority of regular vets around here are like that.
