I was only going to draw from photos for now... I can draw things straight out of my head if I really want to (The Shippo Santa thing was from my head... the color sketch there is from a photo), but I wasn't going to be dealing with any live modeling any time soon. It's much easier in my current situation to just have people give me a couple photos so I can draw in my poor, jobless seclusion lmao (Can't afford the gas it takes to drive everywhere right now anyway lol).
Good idea though... although, would a dog sit still for 4 hours? >O.o;< Thanks for the ideas... >^^;< |

Cheetah--
Do you draw children? Would love to have a drawing of ours with Buddy. If not, am looking for pics of Buddy alone so we can order! You are quite talented. Hope the business takes off. Also, if you get a DBA (Doing Business As--in TX it is only $14) then you can write off many expenses as well as 1/6 to 1/7 of home expenses under the home office deductions on your income tax. If it really takes off an LLC may be an even better tax set up. |

I am not sure how good I would be at drawing children. My talent lies with animals, so I am pretty out of practice with humans. I could sure try, but I can't promise anything... >^^;< Great idea about the business thingy. Once I get a job and start getting a steady paycheck, maybe I can look into that! I really do hope this takes off too! >^_^< |

Even before getting a job, the DBA is cheap (here just $14 by going to the closest county courthouse and takes about 15 minutes). If you do it in this year, you can get the deductions from the time you register. Especially with not working a standard job, the tax break could be significant. up to 1/6 of every electric bill, phone, water , repairs and maintenance to your home, real estate taxes, mortgage interest, supplies, because Shippo is your model and advertising campaign his expenses could be deducted. I wouldn't wait and I'd talk to a librarian (who can help you look up the tax code for your state)(or accountant that you know through friends, church, clubs, etc) about other items that could be deducted! Good Luck!

I think you're off to a great start, Cheetah. Not many have a talent for drawing animals. I use to be fairly good with charcoal and people but would never tackle animals.
BTW-I hope Shippo is doing much better now...so lovely.

Those drawings are absolutely amazing!! I always wished I had some sort of artistic talent, but, alas, my stick people don't even look like stick people

Thanks! Don't feel bad. My boyfriend came and sat next to me while I was drawing it, and he tried to draw the same picture, and it turned out looking like a fuzzy elephant. >^^;< But he is a musical person, so his talent lies in a different place than mine. I couldn't play an instrument to save my life Lmao!
