Duke's tongue
I think this is the best place to post this, so here goes.
My youngest daughter, Randi, noticed that Duke's tongue has some black on it. I checked for myself and sure enough, it is there. It isn't very much, but on the very tip and towards the back, it does have some black. Now, from my experience, the only time I have seen black on a dog's tongue, it was because they had some Chow in them. Duke doesn't look or act like a Chow, or even part Chow. He is simply too small. Is black on a Corgi's tongue unusual? I really don't know. |

Black tongues are most commonly associated with Chows, true and even a part of their standard. Some of the other oriental breeds such as Shar-Pei's mainly have blue/black tongues. HOWEVER,
black on the tongue can occur pretty much randomly in all dogs so I wouldn't really give it much thought. I have had a corgi rescue or two that looked like Duke. He looks very much like an ancient woodcarving of an early "prototype" corgi. Handsome fellow and I know very happy to find his way home to you.Debbie |

I saw this somewhere on the Internet somewhere(I hope not here) and saw no name or company that I recall on the pic so, I guess it's ok to post it. This little guy is the tongue king of all time...well blessed in getting to the bottom of things!!
