Corgi Designer
Are your corgis interior designers?
I guess my color scheme of sage in my dining room does not meet Tucker and Lulu's standards. When I got home today it looked like blue and white was their new color scheme. It was a blue and white explosion. All from one of those tug toys! I never knew there were so many threads in them. Sometime while I was at work (they are gated into the dining room and now X pens keep them away from furniture they like to chew) they decided to tear apart their blue and white tug toy. What a mess. I will watch for blue and white poo, I'm sure they swollowed some while they were at it.

It sounds like they were hard at work redecorating while you were away and blue and white makes a nice color theme. Yesterday my two boys tore the stuffing out of a sofa pillow and strung it all over and today Dale drags the throw rug around. The Corgi book says they like to look for work to do and generally find it.

My two have an affinity towards neon green. I will occasionally buy the 88 cent toys at Wal-Mart and they will shred them all over the house within a few short minutes. Neon green is their color scheme--who knew?

OOH! I almost forgot! They also are fairly fond of white confetti--you know, from toilet paper, kleenexes, and paper towels being shredded into thousands of little pieces. Who knew they wanted to throw a party?!

Ponzo must be in a dark and depressed today, as the weather has been dreary and stormy, the living room is strewn with black shreds of his tough toys doughnut. I know he has eaten some of the fabric because I have pulled what seemed like neverending threads of black from his mouth and no doubt esophigeal region as well! Guess decorating is a trait not mentioned in the books but surely exists!!!!

I did a very good article quite recently called What Dogs Really See - if you want me to send you an email version, give me your email address. But the short answer is greens and reds, just like the 'normal' colour blind human. Dogs do have unique vision.

Mine are not only decorators but also weather-makers. I have come home to a good three inches of "snow" - stuffed toy fluff all over the living room on many occassions! Who knew so much fluff could be stuffed into a stuffy!!!
