Monster Teeth!

Yack, Ada's adult molars are in and WOW, she's gto monster teeth! I'm used to big teeth in the dobes, but WOW - Ada's got some huge chompers compared to the size of her mouth!

And on a side note... when do corgis go through their first big shed? I want to be prepared with vaccuum and sticky roller in hand...

The first major shed - I don't think occurs much before Corgis are 12 months old. Had plenty of pups but I can't remember - probably because it varies a little and with shedding there is quite a few circumstances to take into consideration - such as climate, weather patterns, if the Corgi is mainly inside or mainly outside. If you daily comb and brush Ada and give her a monthly bath, then a major shed will not be so noticeable.

Corgis do have a set of teeth and jaws that belong to a bigger dog and that is one of the reasons why they can eat kibble and cut up food that are suitable in size and hardness for medium size dogs.

Hmmm maybe this is why I noticed that Shippo wasn't shedding as much as I thought he would... I had wondered if it was going to get worse, but it didn't... after he hit a year, he did shed more than usual but it wasn't like uncontrollable shedding like people were telling me lol... >^^;<

I barely ever brush my dogs - they don't like it, and I have never had a major shed or a coat blowing as so many others seem to have had. Jemma recently went through what I call "elk butt" where her backside looks like a moulting elk! Rupert hardly ever sheds at all. Guess I got weird ones!!

I think it's that good clean Canadian air! Either that or all the Molsons you are giving them.

Dudley had his first big shed at about 10-11 months, and it was a lot! We do brush him everyday and he gets a monthly bath. Now, he is pretty much back to normal and not shedding much at all, but when he was shedding, he was really shedding!
