"I'll Give You $1,000 for Your Dog!!"

I had something very bizarre happen to me today! I went to my mom's house to visit, and took Shippo along, and I grabbed is tennis ball and we ran out into the yard. The yard has a chain link fence all around it.

So anyway, we were having a nice game of fetch, and these two guys who were passing by stopped and got my attention. They said, "Hey, is that a Corgi?"

I said, "Yup!"

They said, "Wow, what a beautiful dog! I've never seen such a gorgeous Corgi before! They're so hard to find, and I've been trying to find one for my mom!"

Then they said something I never expected:

"I'll give you $1,000 for your dog! Whaddaya say?!"

I stood there for a second before I burst out laughing... then I realized they were serious lmfao! I of course declined, and they left. It was just totally shocking. Who would just pawn off their dogs for a few bucks? And Shippo's worth a heck of a lot more than $1,000 anyway lmao...

Well they did get a few things right, he is a beautiful dog and they knew he was a corgi. That proposition would come as a bit of a shock out of the blue tho'.

Thats just crazy!!!! I've loved Shippo from the first time I saw him ...he is just soooo handsome....some days almost as much as I love Colbster

Jamie always teases me and him that "mummy is looking at other dogs again, cuz you keep eating all her shoes, bub....you better watch out!!"

I'msure that was an odd experience to say the least...I just got offered crap for my car as a trade in but Corgi's "hold their value" so to speak...as if anyone would even part with theirs for all the money in the world....

I did buy a new Rav4 though and cant wait to get it and see what Colby thinks of mommies "new ride"....now we both have brand new cars, Jamie bought an 07 Camry last month...what were we thinking???!!!

Guess we expect Colby to be a civilized car rider all the time...boy are we dumb or what??? hes got us wrapped around his doggie paw!! Oh well..such is life

Cheetah, I must say I'm not surprised by the guys offer. I can quite truly say I've never seen a corg with as much character as Shippo displays - and that's pix only. He must be da bomb IRL!!

But perlease - don't tell Rosie I said that!
