Update on the puppies!

I'm at work but when I get back home, I'll upload a few photos.

I am second on a waiting list and there are 5 puppies. One in the litter is an already guaranteed pet-quality because it has one blue eye. Another one is a potential pet because its testicles haven't dropped yet (is that unhealthy or kind of common in the pet world?). I'll probably know for sure in the next week or two, but basically I need ONE more in the litter to be pet quality and I'll get one. They were so adorable that I had a cuteness overload and just started having seizures.

LIEs, LIEs, all of it lies....so i bought a t-shirt at Walmart that says "I Like my boyfriend but I LOVE my DOG" in retaliation...

i just love to see all the different corgis out there..they are all so cute...i cant help myself

Just cross your fingers for me... I'll be really sad if I don't get lucky enough to get a pick from this litter, because then I'd have to wait for another half a year/1 year or so

How old are they? You can't tell on testicles for sure till about 9-10 weeks. If they're not down by then it's very unlikely they will ever come down.

How do you mean "unhealthy"? If the dog is left intact, there is a higher chance of cancer in the retained testicle. But if neutered, the dog will be as healthy as any other dog.

And netutering is a slightly bigger deal, depending on where the retained testicle is. In Pems is is getting to be rather common.

They are 9 weeks old this week. If I do get that particular puppy, it will definitely get neutered (it'd be required of me anyways, by getting a pet-quality Corgi).

Man I was tired this morning - I misspelled puppies in the title!

Ok, so if it's got a retained testicle now, chances are it's going to stay that way. It shouldn't be long before the breeder decides on which others can go as pets. 3 weeks or so probably.

Good looking crew of Corgi babies. Just from the pics, the two with the white strip going all the way thru to near their shoulders, look the sweetest natured. But I like best, the one with the splash of white on his/her muzzle which ends with dark lines on both sides of the muzzle.
