Thumbs up Read a good book about a dog

I read a good book called 'Marley and Me', it is about a Lab but nonetheless it was an excellent book. Sorry but I can't remember the author name. It tells the story of Marley's life with his owner. It was an excellent book to read if anyone enjoys reading. It is a real tear jerker at the end (last about 3 chapters), I cried nonstop, and still get teary eyed thinking of it. This dog however was a real terror. That I could not relate to since my Corgi rarely, rarely ever does anything she should not do.

The author tells of the companionship, loyalty etc. of a dog. I never really thought of a dog being that much is my life, but after reading this book I have an all new appreciation for Lizzy. Like the author writes about...his dog would follow him everywhere he went, waiting patiently, even when he was getting to be an elderly dog and had a hard time getting up and walking, he would always follow his owner. While reading this book I would stop and look at my Lizzy and give her a kiss for being such a great dog and companion(she always lays right beside me). I dread the day she gets too old and her time comes. I can't imagine my life without her. I am so glad I got a Corgi!!! Everyday I tell her how much she means to me and what a good dog she is (even though she can't understand me).

I read this book also. I really enjoyed the story. I just keep thinking about my Molsen how he is now 10 and what life would be like without him. He & Miller sat with me while I was reading ... I think they knew the story, because they would continue to snuggle in as I read on. I started reading out loud to them for a few chapters ... And they listened intently.

The book is being made into a movie staring Owen Wilson ... Hopefully it will stay on schedule.

I just finished that book. I listened to it on tape because I was working on crocheting a blanket and wanted to do both at the same time. I bawled my eyes out at the end. I practically used a whole box of tissue! But still, very very good book.
