Once with a Corgi

Took Alice and Taylor to the annual Upper Hutt city spring street fair last Saturday and we spent some two hours wandering around and looking and listening to live musical performances. The number of people who came up to us and said that they or their parent/s had owned a Corgi, was interesting to say the least. It just reinforces the point that Corgis were once very popular as owned dogs in New Zealand and have a long way to go to restore that position. But two people did write down my phone number so that I can put them onto a breeder. Comments came thick and fast and there were the usual ones who remarked that the two Corgis must be "twins' ( they are miles apart in coat , size, white markings, and skirt/trousers). There was a bevvy of admirers and the Corgis got stroked and patted by many adults and children ( it's amazing how many young adult men wanted to show some affection). Alice was a little pig - she wanted to eat anything with a remote taste of something organic and I had a lot of trouble keeping her away from 'rubbish' food - no wonder she needs to lose several pounds.
