Along with what Debbie said, has he also proven himself in the field or the ring (performance or conformation titles)?

A new member of the Wellington Welsh Corgi Walking Club has just started a breeding programme for his Pems. He has a Stormwey male (his stud dog) and a nice but smallish female. He also has a near four month old female Pem with an American background whom he wants me to handle for him at conformation shows. He also wants to use her for breeding and if she can win a little in the ring it will advance his breeding programme. She is going to be hard going because the ex-farmer owner does not believe in having his Corgis as inside dogs. Anyway his two year old female produced five pups about five weeks ago but only two survived. He has advertised the two pups for sale in the NZ Kennel Club's magazine as well as advertising his male dog for stud duties in the same mag. He also advertsied the pups on the internet through New Zealand's Trade Me and got 1500 hits. Both surviving pups (a boy and a girl) are going to a young married couple around where I live - something I would not allow if I was the breeder - after they reach 8 weeks. The owner lives in the same city I live in and the pups are the first pure bred Corgis to be born in the Wellington region for probably 10 years.

Cheetah - I'll let you know of the Stormwey background of this particular dog when I see the papers. His breeder in NZ are the Hydes of Christchurch who have had top show winning Stormwey Corgis for many years.

I'd be very interested... I only know that he's a Can. Ch. and the OFA and CERF scores (and that he of course has the fluffy gene lol)... but I've googled like crazy and can't find much else about him. I know more about Shippo's dam, since I actually got to know her owner.

Yes, Stormwey is the kennel name of a show breeder in NZ.
