Well, we went to Port Aransas down to the Gulf for vacation this year, and decieded to take Cooper along. Missed him last year, too much.

We bought him a life jacket,as we didn't know if we were going out on Scat Cat fishing or not.We got some reports that fishing wasn't good so we took up shopping and site seeing. We also got our first tattoo.. LoL

But, the high point was Cooper. He had never been to the ocean{gulf} before , so he was little shy at first of the water and waves. After first day he got used to it, so we put his life jacket on and walked out several yards and let him swim around. Then I went to sun in chair on beach , while Sharlla was still playing with him in water.He came out and walked up to me and I ask were's MAMA, he ran to water and swam out to her and then would ride the waves back into me at beach, he did this all morning and people were coming up laughing at him surfing into shore with life jacket on and ask how we taught him to do that.I said it's his first time and he likes the water, and more people even young surfer's were enjoying watching him surf the waves into shore. Big Kahuna, Cooper was a real hit on the beach, all week, more local people heard about surfing dog and he was a hit in Port Aransas. Waiting for pictures to come back and will post them soon..

I've had a couple of Pems who loved the waves - or at least were not afraid of them. They would have loved to be in a lfe jacket to get the bouyancy to ride the waves.

That's a great story! I can just picture him bobbing through the waves in a life vest. Looking forward to seeing the photos.

Some of the pictures did not come out very good on the camera we were using but , we had two, so some did and they are posted..

Looks like he had fun and makes me wish I was at the beach! Did he do alot of seagull chasing, too?

Not too much seagulls as , those tiny birds only maybe 3 " tall that run really fast as waves came in, he loved to chase them.
