Books on Cardigans?

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good book about Cardigan Corgis? The only one I've found locally is "Cardigan Welsh Corgi" by Richard G. Beauchamp - is it worth buying? I'd be willing to order a book from overseas if there are better ones out there.

Thanks

That is the only book in England which is good. I can't find any others at all.

It's a great book, fairly detailed although I'd prefer a book with slightly more detail on showing but anyway. If you take a look at the other breeds in the collection of the dog series, they all say the same thing pretty much for puppy and training section with the odd word about corgi in there- bit disappointing really seeing as I unknowingly forked out more money to buy the same chapter for different breeds.

I don't believe there are any other good books out there in my opinion. I tend to prefer websites now- Phi Vestavia has fantastic resources.

Most other books include the Pembroke too which is a bit of a hassle if you have no interest in the pems- and they tend to be mostly about pems with the odd mention of cardis.

And..is this Settican from FP? I just realized when I saw S.Africa. I'll assume S.Africa has as many corgi books as England, although I can't be certain.

hehe, yes - this is Settican from FP

Thanks for the info, is seems I'll have to order the book online since no shop appears to actually keep stock of it. Corgi's (Pems and Cardis) are uncommon around here, so there are no corgi books at all in the book shops

The Beauchamp book is the one I'd recommend. You can watch E-bay for some out of print ones as another suggestion.
