Whew chaos insued lol
This afternoon I came home from work feeling a little tuckerd and thought I would stretch out in the recliner and nap a bit to dr. phil.
Well Darci rounds the corner running at top speed fast behind my calico cat both running for the tv the cat turns left, onto the sofa she flies as Darci being the graceful creature she is slams into the tv, she gets up shrugs herself off and they are off again, rounding the track once more ( that I affectionately refer to as the living room ) and I am thinking that Darci is up to no good chasing the cat and about to get hereslf into major trouble. Well about this time I realize that it's not each other that they are chasing but a blue tail lizard........OMG How in the name of pete did that get in here I scream............. While I am moving the sofa, curtains are swaying as the animals run thru the house and pulling out the tv trying to catch the little bugger ofcourse with help from my furry friends who are obviously making this task soooooo easy. 10 mintues later ( felt like hours ) hubby arrives to my chaos and the rescue and catches the creature and releases it into the yard.. Of which he makes look so easy.. great so it can return to find his way back into our house, and he said you think it will be back with those two in here ???? LOL So now both animals are just heartbroken that daddy stole their toy, Darci keeps sniffin the ground and rolling on the floor trying to get it's sent on her and the cat is just pouting.... Just another day in the life ....

Oh my gosh Darci, I would have been screaming - I have one cat that
would have caught that little bugger so very fast, he would not have known what hit him - I am so glad we don't have critters like that here crawling into our homes. That is always one reason why I tell my husband that I am not moving South - as much as I dislike winter linda |

Reminds me of the time I came home and found Ruby running around like crazy and as it turned out a chipmonk had gotten in the house and Ruby was chasing it all over. The poor chipmonk was crazed with fear and literally ran up the side of the wall when it ran out of space. When it got into the kitchen, I opend the patio doors and the chipmonk made a quick exit as I held Ruby.
Then there was the time a racoon got into the duct system of our house and Ruby for 2 days was camped out at the vents. We had to get an exterminator in and he set a trap (cage with trap door) in the basement and obviously the basement was off grounds for Ruby til we found the racoon in the cage. |
