It was not the first time that I have taken Connie walkabouts.
I am taking her out again today, will report if she runs away again when unleashed.

Michael, doesn't it worry you that poor Connie might run out in front of a car or into some other danger? What about Taylor left in the park to his own devices?!? What if someone tried to steal him, while you were off chasing Connie? I think it's nice that you're willing to help with Connie, but do you think it's safe to let her (and Taylor) run about in an unfenced area (obviously near traffic) with you walking a third dog? How would her recuperating owner feel if something happened to Connie? How would you feel if something happened to Taylor because he was left alone?

As I said, I think it's nice you're trying to help, but IMO, this off leash business with three dogs to control, in an unsecured area, is bad news and asking for trouble. I hope you will consider rethinking allowing them off leash in such surroundings. IMO you were LUCKY.

I was just relaying my thoughts and feelings regarding how I'd want my dogs handled. Take it whatever way you want.

Happy to report that Connie off-leash followed me and the other dogs faithfully for over an hour and was absolutely no problem and thoroughly enjoyed herself, also happy in meeting with other dogs along the river trail.

Happy to hear and I wouldn't have expected to have heard anything other.
