Talking I'm New and I Hope You Dont Mind A Lot of Pictures - 02-04-2008, 05:21 PM

Hey fellow Corgi lovers,
I am Lauren and am new here. I have 3 corgis, Megan, an 11 year old red and white Pembroke Welsh Corgi, she is a little over weight and does not seem to lose any weight no matter what we do with her, Abby is a 5 month old red and white Pembroke Welsh Corgi who is very pretty and sweet, Lastly there is Trevor, a tri color Pembroke Welsh Corgi, he is 4.5 months who is also very smart and very sweet. Dont worry i will be sure to add plenty more info, and for now here are a couple of pics (captions below pics):

Trevor on the left, Abby on the right. This is the first time they came inside our house.

Megan..."who are they dad?"

"I dont know about this, what about you Trevor?"

"What was that"

Welcome to you and your corgi crew
What did you mean by "This is the first time they came inside our house." do you keep them outside as a rule? How did you decide to have three dogs? Are they rescue or breeder dogs.? I am the only one on this website that likes stories of rehomed corgi! ( Isn't that right guys?)
Before Michael gets to you with " Megan needs to be given less food", I will say "keep trying". My dog is a little too heavy by a few pounds so I am always thinking smaller amounts, and then giving in to her begging.

Welcome, we just got our first Corgi last friday. We already had four other dogs, and so our new little Corgi Reggie joined the family. Welcome again, and they are adorable.

*~* Crew of Corgis... - 02-05-2008, 09:07 AM

*~* Michael said it BEST !

I usually say, "Corgi cuties".

Crew of Corgis...sounds COOL !

They are really adorable.

Midnight & Sunshine lay on eachother the same way that your cuties do. They also lick eachother's ears and scratch eachother on the back !

" A Pembroke Corgi" : "When we are born...our ears are down...our tails are docked & we wear no frown. As we mature...the ears come up...our personality develops...no more a pup. When we chew our bone...the legs come out...and the "Flying Squirrel" lies alone. A corgi is a wonderful breed...much LOVE from owner to Canine...is received."

Well first you can consider it a rescue and a breeder, they kinda came from a puppymill situation, he had 50 puppies on his premesis and like only a couple breeding parents. and I TINK he kept them in crates almost there entire first 4 months. i am not realy sure what his place was liek because he lived 3 hours away and delivered. i knw this isnt the proper way of buying but we got a warenty, asked SO many question, and he gave us referals. he probably took care of them minus the love and excercise. but they got a clean bill of health and are really friendly.so we kept them.

That is also what i mean "first time in the house"...I dont think they were ever in a house before just there crate and a car so they were a little scared. also with it being new, (that was like 2 minutes after we bought them). i would never leave a dog out all the time, expecially puppies.

Deciding on getting 3 corgis...well i have been asking for a corgi puppy for he longest time. we use to have 2 but one passed away. and on newyears day there was an add in the news paper and we decided to give him a cal. he was only 20 minutes away at a show and had 4 corgis in the car. so he stopped by. we couldnt decide between these 2 so we got them both...lol

WEll like i said i have been trying to get her thinner, she only weights 27 pound but she looks fatter, she is getting minimum food and plenty of excercise...i think she is just a big boned dog, with a lot of fur, and slow metablism

well thats all for now
~~Lauren
