I want to thank all of you for your input. I didn't mean to cause such a disagreement among everyone.
I have decided not to breed Pebbles, but instead to look for a Corgi from a rescue that I can give a good life to.
I actually know someone here in Michigan that runs a not for profit rescue for all sorts of animals. I met him when I needed to find a place for my horse or face the possibility of putting her down. I hear he actually got in several Corgis that are expecting, so I will probably contact him and see about adopting 1 or 2.
Thank You again to everyone. I found none of the information to be harsh or carried to an extreme. It was all very helpful since I would have been new to breeding, but I now realize that it just isn't for me.

Donsgirl,

No need for an apology on your part, just another typical exchange for some of us. I apologize for you getting caught in the crossfire.

From the description you gave, I think I may have heard of the place you are talking about. A similar type place, at least, was mentioned on the Corgi Rescue list and it got positive input from some who were familiar with the operation. You may also wish to check with the Lakeshore Pembroke Welsh Corgi Club's rescue program as they have been pretty busy this spring and have a number of corgis available for adoption.

Stay with us and let us know about any new additions that may join your family.

Debbie

Donsgirl,

and Also check on www.Petfinder.com (by the way, this is a site for humane societies and rescues, you probably already know that) and then click on breed and click on Corgis - you will find a lot of dogs there and some close to your area.

Linda
