when should i spay/neuter?
i have a 5 month female corgi and a 5 month male corgi (not realated) and i want to do something, not sure, maybe agility or rally, with both of them but i dont want them breeding, i dont know if i should waith till abby goes through her first heat or if i should spay her at 6 months same with the male, wait till he is done growing or should i do it at 6 months

Maybe you could talk about it with your vet? I've only had one female corgi (early 1980s) and I think you're supposed to do it before the first heat. Someone more knowledgable could tell you for sure. Males are generally neutered between 6-9 months. If there isn't a breeder involved with a requirement of when to spay/neuter, I'd follow the advise of my vet.

Duncan was neutered as soon as his testicles had dropped, around 4 or 5 months. It didn't make him a smaller male or anything. He is still a brute of a corgi, but then, his daddy was a big corgi.
