The only way to stop him is to pick it up before he can roll in it. Yeah, a pain, but either that or clean him off a lot. (Generic baby wipes maybe?)

I have always made it consistently plain to my Corgis that anything I don't want them to roll in or eat in the street or at parks etc is "yuk" and "ooh, come away from that" and it seems to have worked well.

It's HOOOTTT, Cooper will run if I say that. But, every now and then he does roll around if a female has been bye the house and deposited a poop.

You've got to be unlucky. I have never had a Corgii or looked after a Corgi who has rolled in other dogs poop

I think all dogs just enjoy rolling in nasty things. The only way to prevent it is to pick it up in your own yard, try to avoid it in public places, and having baby wipes on hand. At a park once, my lovely corgi tried his hardest to roll in a decaying racoon. He loves the forays away from home where there is a chance to find more exotic poop to roll in, such as racoon and bear.

Fort Woof - Gateway Park - Fort Worth, Texas

This is the only place I really have to watch him, and they have baggie dispensers every place, but, some people just won't use them, I know;because I have stepped in poopy piles , and walk to baggie klick ;get 2 out and pick it up and then wash off my shoes.

*~* Midnight is the poop roller !

Sunshine seems to be a Little Miss Priss and could care less about getting her fur messed up. Sunshine has never rolled in poop. She even hates to get her paws wet ! When she goes outside and gets her undercoat wet from the grass......she will come back into the house, lay on her back or side and whine !

" Hey, I am all wet ! Come over here and dry me off please ! "

When we chew our bone...the legs come out...and the "Flying Squirrel" lies alone. A corgi is a wonderful breed...much LOVE from owner to Canine...is received."

Chloe is my roller, more so than Duncan. The last time I took them to Dawes Arboretum, I noticed goose poo and Duncan was just about ready to drop and roll, but I caught him in time. Unfortunately, before I could warn my husband, who had Chloe; she managed to dip a shoulder into it. She thought she was the sweetest smelling dog with the Eau De Goose cologne on.
