Say hello to Muriel Halloran
I had seen the name on several times but when I looked for the profile there were no postings. I emailed Muriel and got this reply. Very nice to know that she got her two corgis from the same breeder that Duchess came from. Jane
Muriel writes:Posted with her consent I have been an avid reader of the GoCorgi web site for a couple of years. Are you the Jane Austen, Senior Member, on the site? I tried and did not succeed to post once when I first found the site but have not tried to do so since. My husband Dan and I have two fluffy Pems, Carly, a three year old, red headed tri, female and Duffle, a one year old, red and white male. We got them both from the Sippiwissett Kennel in York, Maine. They are our first Corgis and we have fallen head over heels in love with them and the breed. We have attended a few Mayflower events and the Pembroke Welsh Corgi Specialty show in Warwick, RI ,our home state, this past Summer. So I don't know if this is where you may have seen my name. It was a nice surprise to get an e-mail from you. Looking forward to your response. |

Hello Muriel - I am so glad that Jane emailed you. I always have thought of you as the mystery person. LOL Maybe Michael or Stephen can fix it so you can post, we would love to hear from you and welcome to the Board after all this time.
I am Mom to Chip & Dale alias the Chipmunk's and their little sister, Taffy Too Little. Jane - Good work and glad you thought of it.

Thank you Jane Austen!
Thanks to Jane Austen for the original e-mail to me a few days ago. She offered to post my respose to help me get started. Thanks to all of you for your warm welcome to GoCorgi. I have been a faithful reader of the site for a couple of years, but was unsure of how to post and shy about trying doing so. Hope it works this time. I will try to post some pictues of our two Fluffs, Carly and Duffle. We have a video camera but no digital camera so I'll ask my son-in-law to bring his camera on Sunday. He will also know how to post photos I'm sure. Thanks again,
Muriel |

It Worked.
Julie and Jamie,
We would be happy to get together with you and your two adorable Fluffs if you do get to come to RI to camp. There are a number of great campsites in the state, especially near the ocean. Just let us know. We have taken Carly and Duffle with us on a number of day trips during the year. They travel very well. We've been to Newport, Wickford, Jamestown, and Westerly (Watch Hill) in RI, Mystic and Litchfield Conn.and Cambridge, Litchfield, Sandwich and Rockport MA. They are all pretty and quaint New England villages and towns. They really enjoy walking along the beaches and main streets but espescially love meeting all the people that stop to pay attention to them. And being typical Corgis they love every minute of it. Phew! What do you think, two post in one half-hour and before that none in two years. Muriel |

Welcome Muriel! Nice that you could join us. I will send you a private message to get you started checking that function too. I have a little aside for you that wouldn't be interesting to most readers.
Muriel has told me she isn't adverse to meeting someday with our Coastal Corgi group. Maybe the group can do some car pooling to make a visit? |

We got both of them when they were three months old; Carly in July of "05" and Duffle in June of "07". They have the same mom but different dads. We were both a little nervous about getting a puppy, it had been many years since we raised a pup. However it has worked out well. My son-in-law, Fred, took some pictures of them today so I hope to be able to post them soon.
