Darci is 2.
We had the WWF here last night LOL. They played so hard last night, and the pup figured out he can fit under the sofa, so when they are playing pup will grab a toy and crawl under the sofa, Darci will get a squeeky toy and stand next to the sofa and tease him to come out. We are still strugling with the name thing, Poor thing ....

Cindy,
I remember when Cody was small and he went under my china hutch and I panicked because he had squeezed under and my husband was out of town. He did manage to get himself back out and then I stuffed a towel under there until he grew bigger. He still loves to shove his balls under it and then bark until I retrieve his toy back. Linda |

Cindy, the pup is gorgeous, and it looks like Darci gets along great with him. I'd vote for "Woody" out of your names because if you want him to stop dead in his tracks from a distance away (like if he's bolting toward's the street) you'd want to say something that rolls off your tongue fast and you don't get tongue-tied. Best of luck with the new addition. You're a new mommy (to him at least) so Happy Mother's Day. ~Shelly

How about a name that kinda compliments Darci's name ??
A male name like: Doogie (Doogie Houzer..M.D. remember that show?) Other names with a "D" : Dohnut, Dodger or Dozer I have always wanted to use these names for a pet: Harley, Indy, Chevy, Bailey, Kah'lua, Madori or Patrone. I decided on: Midnight & Sunshine for my 2 girls. ** I origionally wanted: Harley & Chevy My children DID NOT like those names....for puppies. So there ya go...Midnight & Sunshine were born into our little family. *~* Nikki

"Egan Sepp Baskin Bannon Bevin Keegan Keeley Angus Brody Shrewble
schnooley Woody Morley" Okay at the risk bringing down the wrath of certain parties , I'm going to throw out this piece of advice on naming puppies. Don't ever name one something you wouldn't want them to grow into personality wise. Taz for example - Tazmanian devil from Bugs Bunny. I knew a Berner named Kramer after the character on Seinfield, and he was just like Kramer - great dog though. I have a little foster now that came with the name Brute. He does have a notch out of each of his ears, but I don't won't that baggage going with him nor do I think it fits his temperament and personality, so he's now going by Brew or Brewster. So far all the names for Darci's little brother are "safe." I like Shrewble - it is really different and I've always liked Dewey for a corgi. I did name a stray foster that once, but his new home changed it. A name will click for him soon! Debbie, who made most of this post with tongue in cheek |

Cindy,
If you are interested in looking at other Welsh male names for your new baby, go to www.amlwchdata.co.uk/male_names.htm It has lots of names and their origins/meanings, and I think you will find it interesting. I saved this site in "my favorites"; I thought I would help to confuse you more. Linda Last edited by corgimom; 05-15-2006 at 09:18 AM. |

Linda - the name Alwyn really caught my eye. And a good meaning too for a Corgi who likes people. You can put a 'lyn' or 'wyn' to almost anything and you have a kind of Welsh name. If I was running a Corgi kennel, ny kennel name would be Romallyn - which suits my own surname.
As you can see, I prefer more solid names to that of mushy names but I guess that's in being a guy. |
