Yeah Kitty! Congratulations! That's a handsome profile on your boy. Looking forward to the details, his new name...and more pictures!

from what i have gathered he sure was a rescue! someone was going to give him to the pound, but a dachsaund breeder took him in instead & swore she could find him a home. he has no papers or microchip so he had less of a chance of finding a home (to my understanding a lot of people are concerned with the purebred quality & proof for breeding of a dog) but i said "i don't care... he is just perfect!"

congradulations on getting your dog - 04-22-2008, 06:54 PM

Kitty, you have the birthdate of the dog? Didn't he come with a name? There is nothing wrong about renaming. I thought about it when I got Duchess but since she was used to it at seven years old, I didn't. Now I can't see her name being anything but Duchess.
I am waiting to hear the story of how you got your boy. He looks great. Beautiful color.

the name was "maxx" but he does not respond to it. i think it was only a name he was given temporarily during transfers. i am a bit of a geek & am thinking of naming him "koopa"... it's a super mario brothers thing! duchess is a lovely name indeed. i would type up the whole lovely story right now but i am very tired. i'll likely do it at work tomorrow when i'm full of coffee & sugar! the birthdate was just an estimate from the previous foster parents.

What a lovely neck and shoulders he has, so lovely and white - perfect for the glamorous collar he wears.
He's handsome and (now is) happy so needs a name that represents this. In Welsh, Ilar means happy, joyful; Iorwerth means handsome lord. Just to throw in another Welsh name, Kai means rejoice (and in New Zealand Maori it means food).
