Talking Spoilt Rotten

Hidey Ho All!

Oh may....where to start. Forgive me for not popping in as much. I am doing my fiscal year books at work and that is where I access the net at.

The Adolph's meat tenderizer (with papya extract) seems to be working. I have noticed less log snacking going on! Every now and then I catch them in the act of a kitty log or an outside log and am strongly pushing the LEAVE IT command. So....all said....some progress has been taking place in this area.

Floppy ear. Spoilt's ears never came up on thier own. I have added both vitamin C and extra Calcium to thier diets. We eventually taped his ears for a few days and ONE of them perked up. They are so big! We are keeping paws and fingers crossed for the other one. He is well over 12 weeks now!! That is the longest I have read about having floppy ears.

Now for the potty forcast.....we have had a teensy weensy bit of change in this department. I have noticed that Rotten will still hold it for several outtings. If he does not go....he goes back in the crate. If he does go...well I alert the media to all within a 20 ft radius. The neighbors, I am sure, know when he has been a very VERY good doggie!! I give him treats when he does his thang correctly. Spoilt will usually go within minutes of having eaten. Rotten is taking a longer time period between scarfing food and making a yard deposit. I DO still have to watch him while running about the house playing as if he gets too quiet he is most certainly depositing a log pile somewheres inside. I do have to brag on the little redhead though.....he actually TOLD me he wanted to go outside and then followed it up with a #2 so I was REALLY happy about that!! I am definetly using the crates more though that is for sure. Spoilt will follow suite to Rotten though. If Rotten goes inside, Spoilt will surely follow....so I am still having a bit of a battle but it seems to be S...L...O...W...L...Y coming around.

All in all.....some progress, even as small as it may be, is still progress!!!

No, there have been cases that have taken longer and the ears did come up.

Congratulations on the progress - keep up the good work!
