my new Corgi
I will be getting a new corgi tommorow. I'm getting her from the animal control. She was a stray so they do not know much about her. I when to see her today. She was a friendly dog. I also think for a little while she was in with an other Corgi. I would like to know what people's experience has been with them getting along with other pets. I have two small dogs around 12 pounds that are my babies. Two 40 pound dogs. I also have 5 cats that stay in one room for the most part. I really hope this works out. I hope to be post pictures of my new dog tommorow.
Any information would be great. I would also like any girl names that would have to do with music. My other babies are Melody and Harmony. |

azpetlover, thank you for coming to the aid of this girl. I do rescue for both corgi breeds and your message has been the bright spot here today.
![]() Corgis can do fine with other pets. One thing I have found with those I have received as pulls from shelters/animal controls is they have something of a grateful nature, more so than those I take in as owner turn-ins. They've also been generally better at getting along with other dogs. How about Lullaby as a name? Debbie |

Congratulations on your new addition. It is wonderful that you have "rescued" her. There is nothing like a corgi to add happiness to your home. I love the name Lullaby. Good job Debbie. How old is she and you have got to post pictures.

Good for you - you are to be comended for helping this little girl out. I have 5 cats as well as the terrible two and they all do fine together. Riley just kind of leaves the cats to themselves, but Rupe loves them. He has his own cat, Tucker, and the two of them are hilarious together.
Just be patient with getting them all together, it will take some time. I was lucky enough to raise my dogs from pups with the cats - that helps. It still can be done. Deb |

congratulations on your new addition. Please post pictures.
My last Pem(who is now passed away) came from a Humane Society and was about 2 years old. I already had two kittens and she was very good with the cats and I never had trouble between them. Linda |

I love theme names! And "Lullaby" is a darling one to go with your other musical names! ...The nickname "Lulu" comes to mind then. "Tosca" is the name I have ready in case a second Corgi happens to wander into our lives
- there is a specific musical name for you to try out! Will be anxious to see pictures of your little rescue girl - Congratulations!

Congratulations!
Looking forward to hearing all about your girl, and of course seeing lots of pictures too.

Thanks everyone for the posts. I try lullaby but she seems to like DoeRay better so I'm going to go with that. I got to take her out of the pen today and see what she was like. She is very friendly even when this kennel cat got her with his paw thur the cage. So the animal control office let us take her the other room with the nicer cats. I get to take her home tommorow after the vet has make sure she is spray. I cannot wait to get her home and give her a good brushing and a bath. I sure hope she is going to get along with my little ones. But I think everything should be fun she is pretty laid back.
