Coping with a teenager

I thought this might be an interesting thread as I realized last night that Chip is now behaving like a teenager. He is six 1/2 months old. How do I know - I have had 4 and can recognize the signs. He walks around like he owns the place and bosses Maybelle around relentlessly going to the extent of teasing her with his toys, eats out of his dish, then switches and eats out of hers. Although, we buy both of them toys, Chip claims them all for himself. Thankfully, Maybelle is very tolerant of Chip. Anyone else recognizing symptoms?

Mazie is now 7 months and is starting to get "mouthy" to my husband and me. She has no problem sharing her opinion with us whenever she doesn't want to do as told.

And the way she walks around, shaking her little fluffy-butt - she reminds of us a teenage princess...LOL...

Chips mom,

According to my doggy book the 6 to 9 Month old period is like the teen years. I think Cody is bossy at times also. His trainer from puppy class told me to ignore him when he barks at me as if he is" talking back to me" - I have been trying to do that.

I have two teenagers, I really don't want another one.

We raised 3 daughters. My husband wanted a male corgi, and to call him Montgomery. The comprimise. I got to pick a female, and her name, (Queen) Montrose.

Our perpetual teen age girl! WHAT was I thinking?

You raised three girls - Bless you. Were they teenagers all at once?

6-1/2 month old corgi == human teenager. Ah-ha! So that's why Trevor has suddenly turned into all mouth and sass! And I thought it was just that he was getting comfortable in our home, and beginning to assert himself. I've got a teenage corgi! Ai-yi-yi!!
