Kibble made interesting
Yes I am guilty of giving Ruby the same old kibble day in and day out. However each time I give her her bowl of kibble I put little bits of something else in the bowl. For example I will give her a half slice of turkey roll broken up into about 20 small parts or a bunch of small bits of chicken, or fish, steak, or hamburger meat mixed in with her food. I started doing this when I first got her at 4.5 months of age and she would not eat and I just continued the practice. I think it gives her a little variety to her meal. Most importantly each morning I throw a multi vitamin into her bowl. That plus whatever she grubs from us makes up her diet and we never share cake or other junk with her. Just thought I'd share my approach with the gang as it seems to work real well with Ruby.

I think there are probably as many variable corgi meal combinatons as there are corgis.
Just like us. ![]() I like reading, and learning about all the different foods we each give our dogs.

Cardiguy - it's commendable what you are doing in realising that the same meal night after night could be pretty bland even for a dog. There are so many variations and so many choices - it just takes a little effort to pump up a dog's meal. But I'm actually in a little battle with Americans in particular who have a large population looking for easy meals for themselves and this passes onto their dogs. So kibble is no-work meals and the point is that they are by and large, not the ideal and in fact could be preventing dogs living longer and healthier - just like fast food, ready made meals, TV dinners etc is killing off us humans who persist with them. Kids born during the last 10 years could expect to live to 120 - but only if they get the best healthiest food and the best medical treatment. The same goes for dogs. They could have a life expectancy of maybe 18-23 years but they also need careful management. Having said all that, Kibble is preferable to what a lot of people feed their dogs with but it is not food that is superior to natural food and natural food supplements.
