OK all:

I suppose my initial worry about this issue was unfounded. Jeff had told me that his previous pem never scratched or told him he needed to go out. Rhys however has become an expert...He barks, scratches, and sits at the door till we take him out. Smart puppy!!!!

Great Rhys,

He is doing better than Cody - I still have to watch for his signals. He is not a "door sitter/scratcher" - my other Pem was.

A friend of mine did the bell on the door thing, bad idea.... Libby rings that bell a lot, and in the middle of the night to chase birds...... It may work very well for some but not so good for Libby.... LOL

As for teaching a dog to tell me when they need to potty, I may be one of the few but I would rather them be on a good schedule, going when I take them.
