Hi! I am getting ready to adopt another rescue Corgi. I have one already that I've had for about 2 years now. She is a bit bossy to say the least. My other Corgi and her did not get along at all. He was a male. She always wanted to be in charge and I don't think he really cared but one too many dirty looks and they were fighting. She would stop after her inital growl but he would always finish it. Anyway, I just want to make sure I take the right measures so they can adjust to each other the best way possible. I have done a lot of research on the one I am adopting. He is currently in a foster home with a girl Corgi that runs the show and he has never shown any signs of agression whatsoever. Can anyone give me some direction. Thanks

Make sure you get off to a good start. The first meeting of the two is key. It should be done on neutral ground for both dogs - girls are bossy, but most of the boys are cool with that. Make sure once they are home you are around to monitor things and keep treating her the same so her alpha standing isn't being threatened by you too. Make sure she is fed first then him.
