-Omg, I'm sorry about this, I rely on the notification e-mails on responses to threads so much and for some reason I have not gotten any, even though I subscribed to this thread.

anyways on with the story.
Well we got her x-rayed on monday and we saw 5 pups. X-ray wasn't the greatest and it looked like the skeletons still had some forming to do. Everything looked good so far and he estimated another 8-10 days. She is doing good. Her temp has seemed to still be stable around the 101 mark. Also thanks glencorgi for the info on the calcium supplements. Vet told us to increase the calcium intake but now will re-think it. To answer the question about pure bred pups, yep all pure bred AKC. I want to send out a great big thanks to everyone for all the support. Still hoping all goes well.

And a big special thanks to CorgiMum for the reminder e-mail you had sent me.

Thanks again everyone!
Eric

Oh I'd be really excited if I was you (though you probably are!). I love baby puppies and kittens. Do you have any idea on what colors they will be? Red/whites? Tris? Good luck with everything and i hope everything runs smoothly for you and your momma dog

Addie looks great in that photo. She should produce lovely pups - and five is a good number though you might have hoped for more since 6-8 is more usual.

You might get some enquiries regarding pups through Go Corgi if you leave your email address and other contact details in a post.

Addie looks so sweet.

Is her name short for Adeline? So then the pups will all be AKC registered too, that's great. Looking forward to more pictures of Addie & Garth too.

I am assuming that you have a waiting list for these pups and that they are all spoken for(no, I am not looking), just asking.

What a beautiful r/w. Shes just gorgeous. 5 puppies.. thats great, not too many and not alot. My breeder had a litter (3 litters, some where unexpected and not plained) an one of her tri momma dogs had 11 puppies (all survived too!)! Of course she had a c section, if she didnt, she would have died. :\ Are you going to keep any out of the litter?

Nice litter size and developmentally right on the mark as to where they should be at this point. 8 to 10 more days would be right. When the temperature drops to 98 and stays there - then things begin happening. With ours, when they drop to 99, it is generally them toying with us.

My Pem club is sponsoring a seminar featuring the speaker I mentioned advising against supplementing with calcium at all. I'm still thinking on whether I'll go or not. Just give it thought.

Good luck and do keep us updated - Addie is a cutie.

Thank you so much everyone. We only got one side x-ray done so i should add there is at Least 5 pups (per vet comment). No waiting list now, havent really tried. I know selling pups will not be a problem what so ever. We go to so many horse shows and wherever there is a litter of corgis (or any pups for this matter) they are spoken for within 5 minutes! I want to make sure they all do get great homes, that is my main concern. We do plan on keeping one pup, (but of course if it was up to me i would keep them all!)

Oh and about addies name. Well my brother has a dog (mix) named Rocky, and he is a big nut about all of the Rocky movies. Well when we got Addie, my brother made a joke saying the only way he would ever watch her if needed was to name her Adrianne (Rocky's wife in the movies) Well the name just kinda stuck and we liked "Addie" so her name came to be Pippi's Addriane... yea weird story but oh well

Ok finally went out and took a few pictures of Garth.
Garth is 9.5 years old rescue with what seemed to be a somewhat rough past. The lady we got him off of only had him for a couple months after she rescued him from another breeder. When we got him, he was still pretty skinny, and had the worst teeth I have ever seen in an animal. You could smell the rottness in his breath what seemed to be a mile away! Well took him to the vet and had 17 thats right SEVENTEEN teeth pulled out. He is very very skiddish around any type of raised noise or even just the slight movement of the hand. Scared to death of stairs also. We have had him for a couple months now and what a huge difference he has become. He is getting a little better with the steps, he still eats very well with only his front teeth left in his mouth, and all though he is still skiddish he has finally loosened up and looks to be enjoying his new life. And yep he is AKC registered .
He still needs a few more pounds put on, but not much to ask for a 9.5 y/o rescue.

i'll stop the blabble and on with the pics.
