New Photo...He's getting so big
Hi all, I just got a new photo from our breeder of our little Huw. I can't believe how big he is getting. That black sure did fade fast, and he's going to be just as red as his daddy. Speaking of his daddy...our breeder (also a veterinarian) has chosen to neuter him due to his low libido and sperm count. I am so thankful that we got the last little boy he will ever make.
Oh, also, I got to work this morning, and on my desk was a brown bag from the "Diggidy Dog" dog and cat boutique in Carmel. In it was a darling little denim button up vest and a matching denim hat (with room for his soon to be big ears). They also got him a plush squeeky toy (it's a baby bottle with the word "BOY" written on it). I don't know who did this, but I darn neare cried. If it's like this having a dog...just imagine what I'll be like if I ever have a kid....sheesh!!! Ok...just wanted to fill in and share the new photo. |

Yup...his name is pronounced Hugh. I was digging around for some Welsh names, and came across Huw...and I liked the way it was spelled and I liked the meaning. It means mind, intellect, spirit. Exactly what I envision in a corgi. My other half (Justin) picked out his middle name. Are you ready for this one? It's "Mungus". Put the two together.....Huw Mungus....I rolled my eyes too....but it is pretty cute.

I have a friend (can you believe it!) who wrote the foreword for my book and she dreams up the funniest and most ridiculous names for all her pets - dogs, cats, fish, horses and even sheep. Her main character in the stories she writes is a wonderful farm type Border Collie-cross named Partly Bluet.
So Huw Mungus would be right up her alley. My Taylor learnt to do agility with Partly Bluet. He would go under his body like he eventually went through tunnels |
