Balloons for Emma
I thought it would be a great idea if we all would release balloons in celebration of Emma's recovery. We would wait for T-Gal and Leah to give us the go ahead and set a day and time to release the balloons. We could even take pictures and post on Go Corgi. What do you all think?

Bonnie - someone is going to hate me for my response to this post, but here goes.
Instead of releasing balloons in celebration of Emma's recovery, why don't we all put messages, expressing delight and giving personal detals, in sealed bottles and throw them into the sea. And who knows - a bottle with a message may very well find its way to a fellow Go Corgi member - maybe weeks, months, years later. I doubt that a balloon would go far before bursting. |

Bonnie,
Thats very sweet of you to think of Emma. I know Leah would love this when Emma is better. Emma is feeling a little better - she didn't want to come inside from her potty break. She still tires quickly and we take several rests while she is in the yard.

I think it would be fun. Some of us (who are not lucky enough to live by the beach) could do balloons and others could do bottles. I think that is a great idea, Micheal - you never know where bottles or balloons could end up. We also could put notes in the balloons. My mother found a clump of balloons once that had floated to Northern NY from far far away. She got her picture in the newspaper with the balloons. They also had a message.

Glad to hear that Emma is perking up.
It would be great if we all used a similar bottle for messages for easier identification. What about a Coca Cola bottle - medium size say? And of course a red balloon. Just as a kind of joke: right now, scientists are rubber stamping the inclusion of three new planets (Ceres,Xena and one other) to our solar system and there is discussion of naming another dozen. Would releasing a red balloon destined to travel from the South Pacific to the USA be confused with all these new planets. The new operative description for a planet is: round, and it must be orbiting something, and a lot of planets are reddish - just like a balloon.
