Caught Red Pawed!

So... I'm in the office catching up on posts on the forums and I hear this ripping sound coming from the living room. Now, the swamp cooler (ghetto AC) is on full blast you really can't hear too well in there. I noticed Checkers wasn't in the room with me so I crept out to see what he was ripping up. Sure enough, there he is on the couch, shredding the newspapper my husband had brought home! I walked right up to him and was standing above him and he didn't even know it yet because he hadn't heard me over the swamp cooler! You should have seen his expression when I scolded him! He damn near jumped out of his fur just from being startled. As I cleaned up the mess (not much, I had caught him early) I turned around and saw him apologizing from behind the recliner! Of course, then I do the first thing any good corgi parent would... I grabbed the camera LOL! Then I got his toy and played with him briefly to reinforce that he is to chew on it, not paper. Here is his "apology" face... I just can't stay mad at him when he gives me that look!

Smile *~* Toilet paper...

*~* I caught Midnight running down the hall one day with a roll of toilet paper.

I LAUGH at some of the things that my girls do !!

I laugh...then, I deal.

It is funny how I seem to ALWAYS remember to keep the bathroom door closed now. I am diligent about it...now.

{ GREAT story Cheryl (Checker's mom) !! }

When Cody steals that cat toys(mice) he will run into one of the bedrooms and hide - I always know when he is upstair with me and very quiet, it is my cue to go looking for him.

OK, I have to add to this!

I rarely get a look of contrition from Tucker. More often he gets this look on his face like he's trying to figure how he can disassociate himself from the incident.

His puppy sitter tells me he instigates trouble with his pals, they get caught, and he moves away from them like "look what those knuckle heads did". Of course, she knows who was at the root of the evil.

He is so manipulative.

So far, Lulu gets caught.... she cocks her head and plays innocent "you mean I wasn't supposed to chew on the sofa?"

Ace does the same thing Lulu does! There is no apology just a "what?" look!
Linda - Ace would constantly steal Peiper's (my cat) toys! He especially likes the mice because they fit so nicely in his mouth and I don't notice them as easily! Ace also likes to play with the cat scratcher... silly puppy. Anyway, we had to put the cat toys in a different room so Ace would leave them alone. Now Peiper doesn't get to "play" out in the open as much as he used to.
