Maximus has a soccer ball with rope attached to a elastic band that encircles the ball it is flat because of the amount of punctures that he has put it in. He loves to play fetch and will run and get the ball, he as to drag it by the ropes because it is bigger than he is tall. He will bring it to you and then bark to tell you to throw it. After a short time of playing it becomes very slobbery and is very hard to throw. He also has a red tennis ball that he plays with outside, fetch again, this after a short time of play becomes slobbery and covered with dirt and grass, this does not seem to bother him, but is sort of disgusting to us humans, he is very careful with his soccer ball and tennis. When we are finished playing he will take his soccer ball and put it in the toy box and with the tennis ball he will pick it up and take it into the screened porch and lay it down before he goes in, he know that some toys are for outside and some are for inside. Corgis are so smart.

My Reba's favorite thing to do (when she can get him) is a visit from my son in law. He all out chases her around the kitchen and living room, plays "keep away" with squeeky toys with my daughter (his wife), and if the dog gets near the toy he'll spin her around and just terrorize the living _ _ _ _ out of her, but she loves it and can't wait for him to start up when they visit.

Although I post and don't have my baby yet, I got an email from the breeder this morning and he is "talking'. She said the mom does it as well. When they want something, she said it is almost like a yodel. Can't wait to hear it! My two dogs now, one sounds like Chewbacca when she wants to go out and the other will shake her head no if she doesn;t want to do something so Pockets will fit right in!

Hi Pocketsmom
When Pockets arrives at his new residence, Go Corgi is sure going to celebrate. At least, you've got me all excited and pent up. You know more about your puppy than a dozen others know about their adult Corgis that's been with them for ages. You certainly got onto a good breeder who is forthcoming with things you like to hear about and know.
First Go Corgi had a wooing Corgi, pretty soon we are going to have a yodelling one.

Of course Pockets will "fit in" - after all, what do pockets do best?

Taylor doesn't fetch much to my consternation. He's one of those dogs who thinks the fetch play is for him to gather in the object and run away with it while the human chases after him. But he loves playing Corgi Tennis. He will roll a tennis ball back to me after expertly stopping my soccer kick (or fast hand roll) of it to him. He either uses his feet or his face. He also considers himself clever to catch the tennis ball while sitting at the top of the stairs while I throw it to him from the bottom. And he will roll it back to me after a few scrunching moments for repeats. On ground level his object catching is not always very skilled but he sometimes catches successfuuly with his little front hands/feet. All my previous Corgis were somewhat different.
Sorry for the late response Michael but I just read your old Feb post. The "heartworm chunk is a heart worm medication that I give Ruby every month and it comes in a 1 " rectangular cube of a sandy type material made by Frontline I think. For some weird reason this is one of her favorite things to eat and she only gets to eat it once a month so it is a real treat for her.

My Mazie loves to chase sticks, she is just not good about bringing them back to me though...LOL...but at least I am getting some excercise by chasing after her.
