Jemma arrived at 7 months and had never seen a cat in her life. She was quite calm about the whole thing. She walked in and 3 of them were just sitting there looking at her. Now, 5 weeks later, she quite enjoys chaising them, but they just go somewhere she can't get to when they've had enough, or they smack her down - they don't have claws.
These photos were taken in the first 5 minutes she was home.
Those are adorable pictures Deb, and my cats in no way responded that way to Cody when I brought him into the house, even though they had lived with my previous Corgi - they literally took off running upstairs and barely came down (unless he was in his crate) for an entire month. Just goes to show how different they can all react.

My cats are pretty cool. Before I had my own dogs, I had a neighbour down the hall that visited with her Bichon, Misha. He fell in love with my cat Kenya and Kenya with him. Misha would sit and Kenya would sit on the coffee table and stroke Misha's face - I think it was because he was so fuzzy. Kenya would go to Misha's aprtment to visit and Mish would bring Kenya everyone of his toys one at a time like he was trying to get him to play. I think that the cats understand that the dogs don't want to hurt them, so they're fine.

Now that is cold out once again, and the fire place is now in use, Cody's senior cat brother likes to spend his evenings like this.

With colder weather now here and the fireplace in use, this is how Cody's cat brother likes to spend his evenings. He is working on losing a couple of pounds

Leah loves cats and they have 3 at her Mom's. She was saying (remember she is 10) that if you crossed a kitty with a corgi how cute it would be and wondered if you would have to have a breed name like Corgicat?

I showed her this pic and she said THATS IT someone already did it! LOL

oh linda, which of your kitties is that? He is absolutely adorable! I love that on the back position, my clinton kitty used to do that all the time, in front of the fire place no less...i will try to dig up a few pics and post them... cute as a button.
Additionally, the "corgicat" is a munchkin, which is what they have decided to do recently to cats, breeding them to have dwarfed legs...The are cute but look very odd. They can be bred in any colors...not sure about that kitties stumpy tail...very cute though

That is senior cat Billy who will be 13 in April - and take note, Cody was right next to me when the picture was taken. And we all know that Cats don't expose their tummies like that unless they are totally relaxed and feel safe. And this was the cat who was really terrified of Cody when I first brought him home ; so goes to show how he really trusts Cody now not to
bother him.

And the Munchkin cat that can be bred in any colors - sounds like you can special order them like countertops

Billy looks quite resplendant in his fireplace pose Linda. I love the orange boy cats -I have two of them! Love your new seasonal avatar of Sir Cody!

I'm not sure I agree with the development of this new munchkin cat breed - they have been having a lot of problems with their spines and with jumping - which a normal built cat is very good at. They are cute though.

I have one cat, Mustache is his name. He is 10 years old. When I brought Dooley home Mustache ran and hid in the closet. It took a couple of hours for him to come out.(probably napping)
Dooley being just 2 months old, wanted to play. Mustache was curious but just sat there....then smack across Dooleys face. Also forgot to say Mustache weights 25 pounds.

Now Dooley and Mustache weight the same and they push and shove. Dooley herds Mustache into his room when it is time to go to bed but Mustache will jump the doggy fence in a hurry. Very funny to see.

They also lay several feet away from each other on the floor, when we watch T.V.

Dooley and Mustache are very jealous. One will push the other while I am petting.:rolleyes

Mustache is 25 pounds you need to post a picture of him.

My cat Billy, who I posted on here a few posts down is 13.5 pounds, and he needs to shed a couple of them; but a 25 pound cat, I need to see that.

Our cat Powder is a large white cat with the biggest yawn you can imagine. He looks like a cobra, fangs and all. Powder is about 20 pounds and not really fat. He gets a bit more exercise since we got Duchess. They are deadly enemies. Once in a while they will have a big fight but mostly they co-exist, feighning aggression.

Linda that picture is SO CUTE! The way Billy is laying, he looks like he has taken a lesson from Cody in How To Sleep Like a Corgi. That's how Jackie looks in her crate! The munchkin cat looks cute, but I don't think it looks that much cuter than a normal, physically correct cat. What's the point? It's weird what people will waste their time on isn't it? What they NEED to do is start working on cross-breeding cats and sheep, so I can have a little practice herd in my townhouse for Jackie!

I would, however, like one of the new hypo-allergenic cats they have created. Since hubby is very allergic, that's my only chance of ever having a kitty again! Say . . . can anyone lend me $7,000? (just kidding!!!)

Ok, here are the pictures of my cats- Suki is my 9 yr old brown tabby maine coon girl i did two photos , one of her, and one of her on the couch with Dillon, Ka-sea is my 7 yr old black smoke persian girl, Misty is my 16 yr old grey diabetic sweet queen of the house in a photo with dillon and the photo of the brown tabby roasting in front of the fire is my soulmate kitty, CLinton, who passed on 1/29/05...I am sure he has found a nice warm fire at the bridge and is using it accordingly!

As for hypoallergenic cats, umm Jessica are you thinking of the spynx hairless cats? becuase they are not really hypoallergenic, better than hairy cats but still not really hypoallergenic. ( they are funny naked kitties, i think they are really cute..my hubby disagrees

Emilie
