Emilie,

Dillon is looking quite handsome in those two pictures. Suki is looking at him like she would rather not be sharing the sofa with him Looks like you have your work cut out for you with the hair

Shaving = no good. Hubby is allergic to cat saliva, not hair. I must hold out for my mega-expensive, genetically engineered kitty.

Dear Santa - I would like a kitty from www.allerca.com . I have been a (reasonably) good girl this year. Please send me a white one with gray spots. Thanks.

I cant believe they are serious. I went to the allergy free cat website, and cant imagine this...how can they alter the dander? i just am amazed. Does your husband actually like cats? I ask becuase mine is not a big fan ( he loved Clinton very much and feels strongly toward my old girl misty, but the younger hairier two, when people comment on how sweet or how beautiful they are , he says " you want them ?" I have to constantly jump in and say "no no, he is kidding" sigh. I am just happy he loves the corgi and he would sooner give me up than him...double sigh...

He used to like cats, before they gave him itchy eyes and a sneezy nose (his allergy developed in early teen years). He would learn to like them again! Since he started living with me, he has had a turtle, 2 gerbils, and now a corgi. He knew what he was getting into when he fell in love with me. And he is not opposed to getting the hypo-allergenic cat, just opposed to the cost. He says I need to wait until the price goes down.

Well, Huw has known about cats for about a month now. He knows that the two we have, even though they look alike, are totally different. We have two 6 year old torti shell girls (Myrtle and Marylin). Myrtle has been a raging B****H since day one (about 5 years ago) and is just finally starting to come around to liking men. She is the queen kitty and will let you know when she is not happy. Marylin has been in the household for about 2 1/2 years now, and for the first 6 months, she was super shy and wouldn't come to anyone but my dad when he visited, and later Justin when he moved in. She truly loves men (yes....think Marilyn Monroe). Now she loves everyone, and has taken to sitting on the bathroom counter to "pet" me during my morning get ready ritual. She likes to stick her paw out and grab my hand if I'm not using it.

When we first thought about getting a dog, we thought...well, I sure hope the cats will deal. Myrtle (B****H kitty) used to beat the crap out of my rescued PitBull Max, and she'd win. From day one, Huw knows who is boss, and who he can play with. He is cautious of both, but will run with Marylin and try to get her to play. Myrtle wants nothing to do with him, but has her own way of teasing him when she feels like it. One morning I put a few of Huw's toys in the hallway for him to play with while I was getting ready, and he played and hauled one into the spare bedroom...well, when he was done with that one, he came back into the hallway to get another one, and Myrtle was sitting in the middle of the toy pile. Huw whimpered and whined until I moved Myrtle...I swear I could feel her laughing. She's gotten better, but she laid down the law on day one, and he's not stupid. I have to say, I thought it was going to be much worse....so far really really good!!!
