Congrats Bonnie! What wonderful news, now I am sure I will be getting yet MORE puppy fever! LOL. I can't wait to see your little Dale...and yes the names are too cute. I think this is a really nice offer from Chips breeder, and I think you are going about it correctly, matching the personalities of the two dogs and your family is the way to go. I am really excited for you and will be anxious to see pictures once you get your new addition!

Well, well, a friend for Chip and a baby for you. Chip 'n Dale were Disney chipmonks - only they were two males I believe. But you women can steal guys names if you like. Sounds cute - a bit like a story I wrote recently where the two Fox Terrier type dogs were named Jack and Jill.
Look forward to all the news on Dale and her relationship with Chip etc, |

Bonnie - that's so exciting for you all!!! I think you made the right decision by chosing a female. She'll soon be the boss of Chip! Jemma doesn't take any flack from Rupe and he knows she really rules the roost.
(By the way Michael, Dale is a common female name in North America. Old Walt just stole it to make a pun of the furniture maker Chippendale.)

Bonnie - great news! A new puppy that Chip gets to help pick out! Dale is a good choice of names. I agree with Emilie about the puppy fever! I've got it bad and Ace is still a puppy. If I could get another one I too would go for a female and one that was more calm. I'm sure you can't wait to see all the puppies! How exciting. By the way, glad to hear Chip is doing better and back to himself!

Jespah - if your name is Dale in NZ, Aussie, Ireland or Britain, it's odds-on that you're a male. But yes, Walt Disney got the names Chip 'n Dale from the name of the wood.

well Little Dale has arrived. All are healthy and mom is doing fine. No details yet. The breeder was up all night with them so I haven't talked to her. There is at least one sable female but now I am not sure if I want a female or a male Dale. She is going to send pics later.
