I am also guilty!!! Jackie has so many toys that we rotate by season! It's almost time to bring out the Christmas themed toys . . .

I got one of those wire baskets, like you sometimes see in bathrooms, so Jackie can see her toys inside & select the one she wants.

I know Linda, I know!

I can't wait....we get her on the 23rd or 24th!! Yaaaaaaa

We still don't know which one we are getting yet. We are going to phone them tonight or tomorrow to find out.

We are calling her Ein....(I'm sure to some of you that seems quite unoriginal if you have the seen the anime movie)

It was my husband's idea so don't blame me!

We are going to feed her Purina Pro Plan Chicken and Rice since that is what they are currently being fed.
The breeder feeds them raw ground up chicken...this my husband and I are still debating since this seems like not a good thing to do!

That is a good idea Jessica; the wire one. I have a medium size wicker basket for his toys in my family room(and I thought those days were over) now that my kids are way too old for that stuff. Cody can just see over the top when he goes to look in and often I turn it on his side and let him select what he wants. There is also a smaller one upstairs so he has things to play with when he is up here with me

Well, ok then, I don't feel too silly. Lucky Jackie...season themed toys...Huw will only be so lucky (but I'm sure it will happen). Right now the toys pretty much go everywhere he does...in the kitchen when it's time to go to work, in the living room when it's time to play and relax, in the crate at night when it's time to go to bed...in the crate in the car when we travel. I need 4 of each toy for each different area. He was so good the other night...Justin and I were over at his parents' for dinner the other night, and she has a ton of teddy bears around the house and within his reach. I accidentally left his toys in the car, and when I saw that he had a teddy bear, I told him to drop it, and went and got his toys. He left the bears alone for the rest of the night. Great, now I need 6 sets, one for each set of grandparent's. HaHaHa!!!

Fluffypants and Dillydoodle:

You two may have a great idea about the toy test. We should all give it a try and keep a running journal on here as to the destruction process. It would be fun to compare, and even share photos.

Take care, and love your corgi!

We had Female #2 and Female #4 to choose from and we chose Female #4 (She isn't as quiet as female #4)

She is soooooooo adorable!

You can see pictures of her through the website in my signature line. I will have to work on figuring out how to add photo's the way everyone else does.

I can't wait to start buying her toys and bringing her to the petstore to let her pick out her own toys

We will be bringing her home either on the 27 or 28. We are hoping to go to Brandon on the Rememberance Day Weekend so that we can meet the breeder and check out a dog show. I think that would be so much fun. Then Ein can visit with her mom and play with the other dogs...if they allow that...I'm not really sure, I've never been to a dog show before

At most dog shows, the dogs dont get to play--they are usually not allowed to if they are in the show as they have been primped and preened and are looking perfect so they wouldnt want their dogs to get dirty before the show, or be terribly distracted.. However, it would still be great for you to go to meet the breeder and Ein's mom. Sounds like fun. Dog shows are a little hectic and can be pretty overwhelming and depending on how old little ein is at the time of the show, you may either have to carry her the whole time or might not be able to bring her until she has had all her shots, you wouldnt want her to get sick. I actually went to a few dogs shows before, the big ones that were all breed were very overwhelming, however i did go to several all pembroke welsh corgi shows and had a lot more fun...

Only 8 more days!

I cannot wait to pick her up from the airport. The flight comes in not long before I get off of work so I am going to be very excited that day!

And we are going dog shopping on Saturday which I'm really looking forward to as well.

Do alot of people "dress up" their corgis? I already bought her a "Christmas outfit" lol
I can't wait!!

I am excited for you! counting down the days, that last day you will be counting down the hours and minutes! Dog shopping is fun, picking up toys and all the fun stuff! sounds like a blast. I dont dress Dillon up ( his daddy wont let me he insistas that it is just too degrading to his little boy, however hubby did feel that some functional clothing items were ok -so dillon has his own special lifejacket (ruffwear- awesome stuff) for when we go kayaking, he has a warm fleece coat for really cold days and he has muttluk boots for his feet in the icy winter ( which he wont wear and hates). I saw two cute t-shirts in a magazine yesterday- one said, "Does this shirt make me look fat?" LOL!! and the other one that said " Got treats?" way too funny.
