Jessica, not another cousin for Jackie, this will be her brother, just not her litter brother! They have same mom and dad as Jackie, so Truman will actually be Jackie's younger brother! I will definately send my regards to them from you when I go up to see them! Oh and when i go there i will be taking pictures which i will post of course.

Well, I know people have been waiting on my posting puppy photos but something came up that is having me hold off on the puppies for a few- I learned yesterday from my breeder that there is a 2 yr old medically retired show dog that needs a good home. He has an autoimmune skin disorder that flares up when stressed, and because of his currently very busy household with kids, other intact dogs, females constantly in heat, etc, he has to find a good quiet home. I have met this dog once at a dogshow a year ago and he is a beautiful red and white boy named Gus and happens to be Dillon's uncle. he is 7 months older than Dillon. My husband and I talked a lot about this and after a call to the current home Gus is living in, we have decided to meet him in person in a few weeks ( after he is neutered) with Dillon of course, and if the boys get along ( which they really should as both are submissive personalities) we will be bringing home Gus...so i wont know anything more for about 2-3 wks but we might be bringing home a slightly bigger pup than expected. The truth is in my heart i feel that Gus is the one...but we will see..

Emilie:
Getting another pup is definitely a heart thing - If I had followed mine a few weeks ago, I wouldn't have had to worry for three weeks and you will so enjoy two. I am still looking forward to pics but maybe of a little large pup.

Emilie,
How exciting to have so many choices... sometimes fate just plays it's hand. If you get Gus will you be changing his name to Truman Gus Dillydoodle? or stay with Gus and use Truman for your next little man? I like both names.

This is exciting for You Emilie,
You may end up getting that second dog and it will be all potty trained already. I will be keeping my fingers crossed for you that all will go well; can't wait to hear more in the next 2 to 3 weeks.

I wouldn't change his name. When I met him a year ago as Gus, he has been imprinted on my brain as Gus so he is a Gus to me
He is still a young man (2yrs 3 months old) and a very sweet boy. I have fingers and toes crossed that all will work out and we get him. Truman will be the name of the next puppy we end up getting..Emilie |

Gus sounds like a great fit for you Emilie - I hope that Dillon agrees! And this will take some of the guesswork out of it, since you have an idea of his temperament already. And no potty training - what a PLUS!!! Keep us posted!!

I know it's hard to resist a puppy, but Gus sounds like a good fit for you. I hope everything works out!
