Bonnie - both you and your Corgis are perfectly fine anyway you and them are - I actually was not commenting on Chip or Dale but just docked Corgi tails.

Taylor's tail has been docked as far back as possible without leaving an indentation. |

Thank you Michael - there isn't anything better then having a compliment greet you first thing in the morning.
I do hope Dale will learn to waggle the back half of him though.

Bonnie
Emma has the traditional bunny butt but Chloe has Chip's pawsitively perfect tail... As I have said on many occasions if my little wiggle butt didn't have that nub I think she would just explode from excitement Maybe that's why God gave both Chloe and Chip their "release valve" LOL

Liam has no tail at all either. I was even feeling around back there to see if there is an indentation. He thought it was pretty funny. He's not really a butt wagger, but there's no mistaking the happy Corgi leaping and dancing.

I am really glad to see this thread - because I just didn't know what sort of "tail" was supposed to be left...ChloeLouise has NOTHING but a tuft of fur...I, also, have looked for a nub or stub, or something, as I have seen many Corgis with varying degrees of tail and was concerned that she had been docked too short... (not that anything could be done about it - but I was just curious) Like so many of you with closely cropped Corgis have mentioned, ChloeLouise "wags" her entire rump - no doubt in my mind when she is happy and excited - the WHOLE hind end is wiggling!!

Nothing but a triangle-shaped tuft of fur back there for Trevor, either.
I do love watching his whole back end wiggle when he walks, and when he's excited, sometimes I think his whole backside will just shake right off! -Debi |

When tail-less Pems are happy or excited, they either wag their bodies from their waist down or they breathe fairy dust through their nostrils, open their mouths to protrude a little a pinkish tongue and exude a whooshing laugh and their faces burst forth a smile or a grin.
See, Peggy, Corgis are not dogs. Dogs can't do what I have described, but Corgis can. Last edited by Michael Romanos; 02-01-2007 at 02:36 AM. |

Libby my corgi is a Michigan pup too. Her breeder is a good freind of mine who lives in Fowlerville, Mi. I am in NW Ohio. Small world ha. Oh also Libby has no tail or nub either. At 12 weeks old she really does not wiggle anything yet. It is funny Abby my 9 week old Golden really gets her tail going and Libby just looks at you like don't for get me. Heidi |

Dale wagged his little tiny stump this morning. Not for long but you could see it move. I am thinking that once he gets it going good, it will work. I think it might be 1/4 to 1/2 inch long.

Jackie is definitely a grinner, not a wiggler (see attached photographic evidence).
