It sounds like you have your hands full Jeni! You are bringing back all of our memories of Ace's destructive chewing habits. Of course we he has left his mark on so many of our things it is hard to forget.

Jeni, I feel for you! Puppy stage can be so stressful at times. Dillon was never a chewer but I think it was God giving me a break after my extremely destructive kitty- who only grew out of all the chewing when he turned 10! He was my soulmate kitty eventhough he destroyed more electronic items ( due to cord chewing) than i would like to say... The idea of putting hotsauce on them to discourage them from chewing, was completely ineffective- infact, i think he looked forward to cord with spicy sauce...sigh, he would lick the sauce off the cord first, then nibble away! Just know that she will grow out of it and in the meantime, the crate is your friend when you can't watch LOL!

AND does anyone else thing corgi teeth are sharper than other dogs' teeth? I keep telling my friend that Liam can just touch his leash and it has a rip in it. They're like wolf teeth or something. I can't remember any of my other dogs being able chew threw things so FAST.

Duncan chewed on my shoes and my husband, played no favorites there. He also chewed on a corner of the carpet, that was old anyway (WHEW!) He started to chew on the corner of the carpeted stairs, so I put a piece of masking tape on the corner and smeared some mild hot sauce. That worked for a little while, so then as much as I hated, I smeared some jalapeno peppers on the tape. That made him stop his chewing.

I have taken to putting x pens around things I don't want chewed rather than x penning the dog..... SOmewhere along the way I took a wrong turn!

I gate the dogs in the dining room on the 3 days they stay home each week. There is a glass door they can sit in front of and watch out in the back yard. Birds, squirrels, wild turkeys, whatever... they can enjoy. Unfortunately watching wildelife must be far more enjoyable when one chews on the door frame. I will have to have a whole new panel soon (either that or they will chew their way to freedom!).

I've take to putting their crate in fron of the door so if they want to look out, they can just sit in the crate and look out (can't reach thru the crate bars to reach the door frame!).

I've been told they stop chewing at age 3!!!!! Will it ever come?

Having had puppies of a few other breeds too, no there's no difference in the teeth. Puppy teeth are sharp period. Any determined puppy can chew through just about anything they put thier mind to.

Some corgis might be a bit more determined than other breeds.

Depends on the dog. Some stop when all thier adult teeth are in and some are life long chewers. There is no "magic" age, it just depends on the individual dog.

Barbie massacre

My dog enjoys chewing on Barbie dolls. If there is one left on the floor, its a goner. We discovered this one morning when we got up and there were Barbie arms and legs all over the living room floor. My poor daughters - all their dollies are amputees now. In fact, I don't think they own a single dolly that he hasn't gotten a hold of at one time or another.

He also eats the eyes off stuffed animals...and their noses too!
