Puppy Supplies
Ok, it's been 10 years (that went by in a flash) since we last had a puppy in the house. We didn't even use a crate with Millie, they weren't as popular back then. Now, however, I want to use one, especially since the breeder will have the pup "introduced" to it already. So, what kind or size should I get? My eventual goal is a dog like Millie, well behaved enough to have the full run of the house. Other stuff I know I need:
collar (have leashes) food/water bowls toys food I guess my main concern is the crate... |

I would say The Girls crate is medium size too... the best part about the crate is it folds down to about 4 inches wide and we can take it with us on vacations.
Inside the crate I have a bath towel and a regular bed pillow & pillow case - some members have added water bowls that hook to the inside of the crate so puppy can drink while they are at work. also some dogs have problems with plastic bowls so you may want to consider metal or ceramic ones

I am so confused on the crate issue - I talked with the breeder who gave me a size for a wire crate w/divider, so I know what to get if I want wire. I'm concerned about a travel carrier. I know we'll need one at the end of July when he'll be 6 months old. Would I still be able to use a small one then or would he be in the larger size? The breeder said size 200 for puppies, size 300 for adults. Trouble is, I don't see those kinds of sizes, I'm seeing small, medium, intermediate and large.
Is the wire type best for home use, or the plastic type? Arrrgh, I have a week and a day to figure this out! |
