See, Rhys loves his VariKennel. At night they are loose in the bedroom: Rhys will either go in his VariKennel (which he is getting too big for!) or he gets under my bed.
Andy sleeps up on my bed, so I don't think the privacy is as much as a draw for her. During the day, they both stay in wire crates so they have more visibility and airflow.

Oh, and if you ever need a crate to travel by air with - try to find one with wheels! My friend bought a crate with wheels to transport her Lab back and forth to Montana - it has been a godsend for her!

Hooray for you, Heather! Now the real fun begins...Ex-Pen is the best stinkin thing around. It's the only thing that got us through the rest of the school year, we just plopped him and his puppy pad with frame in the pen and off we went. he had access to his crate, water, toys and pee pee area.
We have one crate on the main floor, and one in our room. The one in our room was a travel crate, I think the first one I bought for him was the small size and was 19.99. He loved it because it was darker and more comforting than his Wire crate that expands.
Ponzo's favorite toy as tiny man was his best friend, Teddy. We went through 3 of them before we decided enough's enough. you can read more about Teddy in the Humour Competition, it basically recounts Teddy's demise, HAHAHAHA!
The Mountain Balls are great for puppies, too. They are generally smaller and the flexible ridges make it easy for their teeth to grab, plus they are really bouncy!
Hope that helps...You are in for some of the most fun you will ever have, it rivaled planning my wedding, which I adored!!

The Girls have a wire collapsible crate that I keep a large paw print towel over to give it a den feel. Am going to buy the soft side collapsible crates for travel - sounds much more portable...

I like the heavy ceramic bowls for the house and our stack-able stainless bowls for travel

the baby wipes are a must for car and home... dirty feet, messy bums, car sickness...

also if you travel a lot a nice to-go bag to keep their bowls, wipes, car toy/bone, retractable leads, etc. then all you need to grab is their food and water for those long trips.

I also have paw print large towels as seat covers on the back seat of my vehicle as well as the hand towel size for the front seats...

measuring cups for the puppy food - much better than eye-ball

toys? more a trial & error to see what your Corgi will like... Em seems to love medium size soft toys and her rubber soft balls. Chloe likes the smaller soft toys, tugs and harder rubber chewy things - doesn't care for balls. But unlike some neither Girl is hard on their toys.

Bitter Apple for chewing... Chloe went thru her teething phase and tried to chew the leg of a table but we used Bitter Apple and after a week or so that stoped.

that's all I can think of for now...
