Incidentally, Colin and I have been referring to the "manatee" stage as the "TEENY WEENIE!!" stage (which might be said in very excited, high-pitched voice).

OH, puppies....

Well normally that would be a good description. But Hattie's milk bar - nothing low fat on there, more like heavy cream. These pups are precocious weight wise - about a week and a half or so - thus the Manatee moniker.

They might be chubby like manatees...but they're still precious and TEENY WEENIE(!!!) looking to us!

Can't wait to see even MORE puppies coming next week...!

I've always thought young puppies look like Guinea Pigs but I like the toaster resemblance now.

Debbie the one on the left in the first photo of the early litter is so similar to one in the litter our puppy is coming from. The next one in that photo with the V white collar is incredible. I've never seen such a perfect lined collar like that. Does the puppy have any white on the face? Oooo I guess I am asking for more photo posting to torture the rest of the members!

Here's another view of her. She does have a wide blaze on her face and a fairy kiss in the middle of her head. The black across her head will narrow and close in as she grows up, but will still have a nice white blaze and that lovely white collar.

What gender are the merles?

I've always loved merles but I've got a black and white with brindle. ^^

One was a female and the other was a male. The black & white in that litter is going to have brindle points. They're now 9-10 weeks old and GORGEOUS! I kept the black and white boy, my sister has the blue boy, and the blue girl is the toast of New York City. They go back to Eng CH, Am CH, (CanCH too I believe) Beckrow Blue Cedar. He's behind a good number of the best blues around the world today.
