new puppies have arrived - 07-18-2007, 07:31 AM

Proud to announce that we have new puppies in our house! The 6 pack(as someone named them) were born Sunday the 15th. 2 girls-1 red, one red brindle, 4 boys-1 red brindle, 2 sort of red brindles and 1 of the darkest black brindles I have ever seen(might be b/w). All came in averaging 14oz! We did lose two pups that got stuck before we had to do a c-section and they were huge-16 + oz!

Mom is our million dollar Marg-- Summit's Margaritaville FB, who needs just 3 singles to finish her CH and sire is CH Kinmar's Royal Crown. And noting by the parent's names, the litter has a Mixed Drink theme and will be named after our favorite alcholic beverages.

Marg is our girl who survived a horrific rollover auto accident on the way to a show, 1 1/2 years ago. My son was driving and hit black ice after a storm the night before. She broke her humerous(upper arm) in three spots including across her elbow. 5 mos of crate rest and enough hardware to build a small car, not only did she heal, but has made it back in the ring to represent her father in the stud dog class at the 2006 CWCCA National speciality(didn't place but we got a very strong look) and also has gotten major reserves in the few shows she's been at. We have had to be a little selective at the shows to take her to as she hates showing indoors, much preferring outdoor shows, so next spring she will be back out looking for those last pesky points.

Pictures are up on our website under the Marg x Roy litter Foggy Bottom USA

Cindy - congrats on your new additions to your household. Are they all spoken for or are you looking to sell any of them when they age a bit more.

It's always a wait and see until they get older. I have a couple companions already spoken for, but it all hinges on evaluations that will happen at the first part of September. I have several breeders coming up for my kennel club's show and we are having a puppy party after the day's events. Crossing my fingers that we have the horrible outcome of too many show prospects:0)

Well, the very best that all will be of show quality. I am sure that some Go Corgi members will be interested enough to contact you.

You run a very good website, Linda. A lot of effort has gone into it. I take it you know of Bridget Smeeton who is helping me out at the moment in trying to find a replacement Corgi for a woman who has tragically lost her six year old Pem who was also the close companion of a Cardi.

Updated photos of the 6 pack if anyone needs a puppy fix! Both the 6 week and fun photos were added yesterday. They just love the tunnels, climbing all over the flower beds and of course playing with the big dogs. Barked at the horses for the first time but my poor poor hostas will need some major TLC after Lila's done playing and chewing on them.
Enjoy!
